Murder in E-flat Major: The world of classical music, incriminating fingerprints, and a Federal justice system gone wrong
Penman Productions
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The world of classical music, incriminating fingerprints, and a Federal justice system gone wrong ensnare Thomas Martindale in one of the most difficult situations of his life. In a story that takes the college professor/amateur sleuth from the scene of a terror attack on the Yaquina Bay Bridge on the Oregon Coast to New York City and back to a secret terrorist camp near Drift Creek Falls in the Coast Range, Murder in E-flat Major also describes Tom’s life as an author and the often hilarious world of meeting the reading public on book tours.
As has happened to him in the past, this quest occurs when he tries to help a friend, a cellist in the local symphony orchestra, whose fingerprints lead the FBI to detain her as a terrorist. “I have heard that death can come in many different ways,” she tells Tom, “but never by cello.” With help from his attorney, Lorenzo Madrid, and the stealth-like Special Ops officer, Paul Bickford, Martindale tries to unravel a tangled skein of events without getting arrested or killed himself.
This is Ron Lovell’s eighth book in the Thomas Martindale Series, which includes Murder at Yaquina Head, Dead Whales Tell No Tales, Lights, Camera MURDER!, Murder Below Zero, Searching for Murder, Descent into Madness, and Yaquina White.
Lovell, a former magazine journalist and retired Oregon State University journalism professor, is available for readings and signings.
All the books in the series can be ordered directly from Penman Productions (penman@cablespeed.com) or through Partners/West in Seattle.
